Per the campaign, Skuma works like traditional reverse osmosis system. Water is passed through a sediment filter, a carbon filter, and a reverse osmosis membrane, which Skuma has combined into one single, multi-stage filter instead of the three normally used by RO systems. Fresh sukuma wiki leaves can be stored for up to 10 days if refrigerated to just above freezing (1°C) at high humidity (>95%). In domestic refrigerators, fresh colewort can be stored for about three days. Once cooked, they can be frozen and stored for greater lengths of time. That’s the first question we got from a customer the day we launched. Sukuma wiki has been eaten for at least 2,000 years, with evidence showing that the Ancient Greeks cultivated several forms of both colewort and kale. [3]A 50 kg gunia should handle a maximum of 35 plants but feel free to experiment with more. Using a knife, make holes around the gunia 30 cm from each other, when you are done with one row it should look like a circle of holes around the gunia. Go thirty 30 cm below this row and do the same thing. Water your gunia from the top, uproot your seedlings from the nursery-remember to hold the bottom part of the stem when uprooting and use your fingers to plant the seedlings into the gunia holes. It also has what Skuma call an Infusion filter. That’s basically a remineralisation filter, which the high end reverse osmosis systems also have. It adds the healthiest minerals into the water, giving it the mineral water quality we talked about earlier.
