About this deal

On the inside, Oppo has wisely let Dynaudio have free rein – and let’s not imagine this isn’t a bit of a coup for Oppo. Dynaudio has a pretty much impeccable reputation in Hi-Fi circles, and it seems a bit weird that the Danish specialist hasn’t already delivered a pair of headphones or two under its own steam.

Elsewhere, the AZ80 – along with their AZ60M2 stablemates – are the first earbuds to support Bluetooth Multipoint across three devices, which is a big bonus if you find yourself frequently switching between input sources. Touch controls are well-implemented and customisable, while the engaging default audio tuning can also be easily altered via the accompanying Technics Audio Connect app. They do omit a couple of helpful features – active noise cancellation and control customisation – but access to an impactful graphic equaliser in the Sony Headphones Connect companion app allows you to tune audio to your tastes, which is very welcome. The WF-C500 will also prove a popular choice for those who aren’t fans of touch controls, as they use depressible buttons that take away any guesswork from controlling them. Compared to some similarly priced alternatives, the Oppo aren’t the most expansive or spacious-sounding earbuds you ever heard. The soundstage, though easy to understand and properly organized, doesn’t have the out-and-out width or depth the best rivals can deliver. The earbuds support IP54 dust and water resistance, but the charging case is not. Avoid using the earbuds and charging case during strenuous exercise to prevent damage from perspiration.

They don’t beat the Bose QC Earbuds for ANC or the Sony WF-1000XM4 for smarts and sound quality, but the Momentum True Wireless 3 are right up there with the best wireless earbuds on the market. based on changes in suppliers or other extenuating circumstances. Please refer to the actual product in all times are based on measurements taken at 25 degrees Celsius in OPPO’s laboratories using the standard OPPO The 94 ms low latency was tested in OPPO Laboratory with the Enco X2 and OPPO Find X3 Pro, where "94 ms" is the time from when an on-screen button is tapped until the earbuds receive the sound.

There’s plenty of dynamism on display too, both of the glaring ‘loud/quiet/loud’ type and the more subtle harmonic dynamics – as a result, Thom Yorke sounds poised and immediate. There’s nothing in-your-face about the way the Oppo present music, but at the same time they’re no shrinking violets.

Features

Though they can’t be described as class-leading in any one area, these uniquely versatile wireless earbuds more than justify their asking price. The OPPO Enco Free’s eartips reflect OPPO’s latest research modeling headphones to fit the human ear. Using the flexibility of liquid silicone rubber, we created not one but two distinct designs: in-ear tips for a maximally secure fit, and semi-in-ear tips for more breathability. This clever design brings you a unique balance of comfort and stability that can’t be found anywhere else. Comfort is subjective, but rest assured that our reviewers have worn the buds being tested for hours at a time and in all manner of situations, be that in a quiet room at home, running in the gym or on a busy commute. This ensures we’re able to give an informed opinion on how comfortable they are to wear, how secure the fit is and how well they withstand rain and sweat. The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Truly Wireless have a great noise isolation performance, a comfortable in-ear fit, and some features only available on Samsung devices. However, they have a shorter continuous battery life than the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) Truly Wireless and aren't as well-built.
