The brewery's location was chosen because it was close to a natural spring that provided the water needed to brew the beer. Beer has been a staple of Czech culture for centuries, and Staropramen is one of the country's most iconic beers. This quintessential Czech beer has been brewed for over 150 years, and its rich history and distinct taste make it a favorite among beer enthusiasts worldwide. The 5.2% alcohol-by-volume beer replaces Staropramen Ležák in the lineup and gives the brewer a valuable new player in the vastly important 12° segment (more on that in a moment).
