About this deal

Our mirrorless cameras are easy to carry and distil the best of Canon technologies into a compact body with interchangeable lenses. That one also worked flawlessly with lithium batteries, but struggled with rechargeables and was a bit iffy with its supplied alkaline batteries, which had been inside this demo model for a while. For increased usage, the 15x50 IS will work as full-featured binoculars when the image stabilisation is not being used, even if the batteries are dead or removed. These high-quality, all-weather high-powered binoculars let you see your subject 15x closer making them great long-distance binoculars.

Doubles are a different story, trying to resolve two close stars doing poi dance is somewhat painful. I have used a 15x50 Canon IS for several years with NiMH batteries, nominal 1,2 volts, and now for about eight years I have used similar batteries in the 10x42 IS L (sold the 15x50). These clusters are too large to have enjoyed in my 100mm binocular telescope because of the FOV limitations. Combine documents such as PDFs and image files onto one page on your Windows computer before printing. I bought them last month during an attack of astro-addiction, and am painfully missing the money now.

A single-activation button located where the right forefinger naturally rests makes using them easy and allows you to concentrate on viewing without distractions.

In daylight however the optics show a little spurious colour, yellow/green or blue/violet when viewing a sharp edge against a high contrast background. At a dark site I'd take a break, maybe use my dob for a while, and get some coffee and rest my arms.

I'm interested in this question, as I do really like the extra magnification, so 18x is attractive to me. The forums are dedicated to wild birds, birding, binoculars and equipment and all that goes with it. Deko’s secure technology helps put you in touch with lenders whose finance options are best suited for you and your purchase. If I had to choose one of these three, I would choose the Canon 10x42IS as the best all-rounder, and possibly the Canon 15x50, if my main application was astronomy and/or birding, although I would never part with the 10x42, if at all possible. There is a small, green LED by the button that lights when the IS function is active, so it should be easy to avoid leaving the IS function on by accident. The weight did start to factor after about an hour of use, but by that time the cold breeze got to me and I was ready to stop.

What I found is that if you use the unsupported, the view seems to ‘swim’ around smoothly; not totally stable but a slow motion that allows you to see the detail much better than non stabilised. Discover how Canon’s PTZ cameras, hardware controllers and apps can transform your remote, multi-camera setups. The Canon 15x50 IS, Weather Resistant Image Stabilised Binocular with its proprietary Vari-Angle prism (VAP) and electronic image stabilization system is an ideal optic for bird and nature watching, marine use or astronomical use. Park Cameras Limited is a credit broker, not a lender and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 720279).On the second night the bright Moon was out, so for DSOs I have focused on star clusters and skipped comparison with 15x70. Image Stabilization System compensates for hand shaking as well as minute vibrations at the touch of a button. Right-eye dioptric correction, twist-up eyecups, and a wide interpupillary adjustment range rounds out the features of these binoculars that will become your go-to optic for any outdoor activity. Regardless, once you do decide and then have your new IS binocular in your hands, you will most likely be amazed at how well the IS works and wish you had bought one sooner.
